“Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.” —John F. Kennedy
Hey there, Mea here!
Revamping my home consist of more than just the physical changes within my home. It also represents the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual changes within myself. I have learned that your home is a reflection of you and peace starts with self. I understand that my outer world is the cause of my inner self and I must be sure to take care of it first if I want to see long standing changes in my life.
I have been spending quite a bit of time reevaluating myself and my outlook on my world/life. By doing so, I have decided to make changes that will bring me peace and happiness to myself and my environment. For instance, continuing to love my family, remove negativity, revamping my home, and loving myself through pampering and meditation.
Lately, I have been taking out time to meditate for at least 10 minutes a day. I chose to meditate because it helps me reset, clear my busy mind, focus on my goals, release negative energy, enhances my self awareness, and enhance my attention to name a few. Since I am rather new to mediation this right now I have myself on a 21 day challenge, so far I have reached day 17 and I already see a difference in the way I handle my day to day. What is even better, is that it also helps me with consistency and better dealing with the chance if I fall off from time to time. If I find myself missing a day or two, I don’t get frustrated anymore, I just begin where I left off. It was a little difficult to get a grasp on but after a few tries I finally caught on. I actually enjoy it so much that it is my go to when I am stressed and I am even looking into other options such as yoga or group meditation.
So the moral of this post is… Take time out to take care of you. Take time out to meditate and love you, away from any distractions and negativity.
